Lisse, (The Netherlands)
The area between Leiden and Lisse is known for the flower crops. Many people enjoy the landscape during the blooming season, which is very short (only two weeks for the tulips) and varies each year according to the weather. The best is to rent a bike in Leiden, ask for a map at the tourist info, and go explore the country.
