January 23, 2007 | pescadores del mar arábigo I y IIFishermen from the Arabian Sea, I and II Trivandrum (Kerala, India) Fishermen boats at Shankhumugham beach. The first one is a 'catamaran', just some coconut tree trunks tied together. The fishermen stand there, with water to the heels, during many hours a day, and some times they get very far into the ocean with such a precarious boat. The boats of the second type are much bigger. They are all equal, except for the carved and painted ornament in the front, which is distinctive for each boat.
