hi Steve,
I actually did not toned down the colors, I just adjusted the levels a bit to reduce the excessive red tone that my camera uses to produce. this is a realistic representation, the 'old' look was already in the real scene. maybe is for that that I liked it.

That makes sense, your eye was attracted to the "old" look which was already there. Good photographic eye, none the less! Question, how did you find my website? I saw you commented on it. There are sooooooo many photoblogs out there. Hard to find go through them all.

Are the colors intentionally toned down the way they are, or is this how it naturally came out? You managed to capture a sense of "old" or "past" from the color/tone of the shot. It seems to suit the nature of the photo. Nice work.
I was in Amsterdam this past September, I am not sure where you are located, but I really enjoyed Holland overall. I just love that everyone is riding their bikes to get around. I can't wait to go back.
